Production Machine Operator 1 Shift: 1st Shift Schedule: M-F 5:00am ? 1:30pm Pay Rate: $20.00hr Position Summary: Under direct supervision, the Production Machine Operator I performs straightforward tasks and operates routine production equipment and machinery. Ensures the maintenance of a safe work environment with an ultimate goal of zero accidents. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve production goals and maintain a safe and efficient production environment. Performs straightforward set up, operation and routine maintenance of production machinery and test equipment ? Uses a range of documents to perform work, such as job travelers, blueprints, schematics, models or specifications ? Troubleshoots machines that are not at peak performance and finds solutions to problems ? Ensures adequate stock of raw materials needed for work and performs equipment maintenance per schedules ? Evaluates and verifies that production items are within tolerances and meet specifications as outlined in job documentation ? Use hand tools and precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, to ensure the quality of products. ? Collaborate with production team members to achieve production targets and meet quality standards ? Other responsibilities as assigned ? Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary Qualifications: ? Experience operating machinery, preferably in a factory setting. ? Knowledge of tooling and the ability to work with a variety of materials. ? Experience with lathes, milling machines, and stamping presses. ? Proficiency in the use of hand tools and ability to perform maintenance tasks. ? Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control. ? Basic math proficiency ? Ability to read engineering drawings and blueprints ? Excellent attention to detail ? Able to use existing procedures to perform straightforward tasks ? Effective oral and written communication Education & Experience: Education: High School Diploma/Equivalent and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations. Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or equivalent experience in the related field Years of Experience (Required): 1 - 2 years | |
