Major Food Processing Corporation is seeking for a qualified Accounting Manager with Payroll Experience. Salary: 90 K - 110K POSITION SUMMARY: The Accounting Manager shall be responsible for planning, managing and execution of all financial, accounting and payroll processes. This role requires advanced accounting expertise and strategic insight to support executive management in decision-making on fiscal matters, while ensuring compliance with US GAAP standards, tax regulations and payroll accuracy. This is an onsite position, requiring regular attendance in the office. DUTIES AND REPOSNBILITIES: ? Manages all accounting operations including bookkeeping, financial statements, general ledger, accounts payable, cash reconciliation, budgeting, tax compliance, inventory accounting, revenue recognition, and conducting ad hoc financial analyses. ? Plans, manages and executes all financial and accounting processes of ensuring timely month-end and year-end financial closing while supporting the consolidation of financial date for company subsidiaries. ? Maintains all accounting records and leads/manages monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing, as well as preparing internal financial reports for management. ? Analyzes accounts and records to identify discrepancies and promptly reports them to senior management with recommendation for actionable solutions to prevent further issues. ? Develops and maintains efficient accounting systems, and internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting and enhance operational accuracy. ? Provides strategic insights through financial forecasting and long-term financial planning, while recommending improvements accounting functions to senior management. ? Works with external CPA firm to prepare consolidated tax filings for corporate and its subsidiaries. ? Maintains and supervises quarterly reviews and annual audits. ? Ensures compliance with US GAAP standards and tax regulations by preparing and filing necessary federal and state reports and advising senior management on tax and compliance requirements. ? Supports winddown of manufacturer subsidiary in concert with external accounting firms. ? Completes required US Census survey accurately and on time. ? Manages commercial banking relationship(s) to support its banking needs and facilitate access to appropriate credit resources. ? Monitors daily cash flows to ensure adequate liquidity for operation?s needs. ? Participates in management and vendor meetings. PAYROLL PROCESSING AND OVERSIGHT: ? Processes payroll for a small team using Paylocity, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws. ? Reconciles payroll with the general ledger and ensure proper classification of payroll expenses. ? Addresses payroll-related inquiries and ensure timely submission of tax filings and other required documentation. PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: ? Full time; flexibility required, including occasional weekends. ? Light physical demands including occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds. ? Repetitive work performed at a computer workstation. ? Adherence to all company personnel and safety policies and procedures. ? All other duties and responsibilities are determined by the individual department and/or reasonably assigned from time to time. EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: ? Bachelor?s degree in business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline. ? 6 to 10 years of experience in the accounting field, preferably within industries such as import/export and logistics, food manufacturing or retail. ? 3+ years? experience as an Accounting Manager or higher including demonstrated supervisory and management experience. ? Experience with ERP systems or accounting software. ? Strong knowledge of US GAAP financial reporting, accounting practices and cost accounting and management roles, preferably with US public company. ? Proficient knowledge of payroll. ? Experience using QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). ? Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively convey thoughts, ideas and other information to stakeholders across the organization, while demonstrating clarity, precision, and active listening. ? Must be tactful, discrete, flexible. ? Ability to exercise independent judgement, discretion and make sound business decisions. ? Possesses strong critical thinking skills with the ability to successfully solve practical problems and handle a variety of situations and work pressures. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: ? CPA or CMA designation. ? Experience with Paylocity. | |
