JOB DESCRIPTION:

Major Objectives:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically minded Operations Analyst to join our team and support Client residential managed charging program, SmartCharge New York.
This role is primarily operational, focused on running and supporting the manual processes that keep the program running, while actively identifying opportunities to streamline, scale, and automate that work, including through AI.
It's also an exciting time to join the team.
SmartCharge New York is preparing to launch new initiatives and this role will be part of that growth, helping design and build processes, then run and refine them as they scale.
This position involves repetitive tasks and requires exceptional attention to detail and organization.
You will frequently troubleshoot data issues to ensure accuracy and consistency across datasets.

Responsibilities or Job Description:

Process Management:
Run and support manual program processes, including eligibility and verification checks, invoice reviews and reconciliation, on-hold list management, and inquiry handling.
Support the implementation and scaling of processes for new initiatives.

Customer Support and Communication:
Support direct customer outreach as needed, including outbound calls and emails to program participants for enrollment follow-ups, data verification, dispute resolution, and other program-related communications.

Process Improvement and Automation:
Identify opportunities to streamline and automate repetitive work, including partnering with our Tech Design and Tools and Digital Product team on AI-driven improvement
Work with other teams to identify potential initiatives to improve operational efficiency.

Reporting and Collaboration:
Collaborate with assistant program managers and external partners to refine data requirements and troubleshoot data inconsistencies.

Required Skills:

High proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and analysis.
Proficiency in data analysis tools (Python) and visualization platforms (Power BI).
Experience with large datasets and data cleaning techniques.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with PowerQuery and PowerAutomate for advanced data transformation and automation.
Salesforce or similar CRM platform experience.
Ability to interpret technical reports and apply findings to real-world scenarios.
Comfortable adopting and learning new technologies.
Experience working with EV charging data and conducting trend analysis.
Familiarity with EV telematics, charger-level, and meter-level data.
Knowledge of utility operations, managed charging programs, and demand response.

Education Requirement or Certifications:
Bachelors degree required
