Start Time : 03:30PM
End Time : 11:30PM
Working days : Monday - Friday

JOB DESCRIPTION:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Review conformance of hose while coiling on reel and cut hose as needed
Verify part number, hose size and job numbers based on manufacturing specifications
Review dimensions, tag colors and take up reel diameter
Inspect product of attributes (flaws) such as bony hose, broken wires, missing wires, kinked hose, etc.
Properly tape and cut out nonconforming sections of hose
Place hose scrap in proper containers
Record attributes (flaws) and hose scrap on Hose Coiling Inspection Sheets, update WW3
Measure OD, ID and pitch
Prepare and complete proper labeling of hose
Cut burst and periodic samples as required
Clean plug gages as needed

Operate pressure test:
Set up test mode (proof or impact), jaws, mandrels, prefill, run cycle time and dump pressure (purge) according to manufacturing specifications
Record PSI impact on back of tag
Cut off hose ends and wrap with tape
Place tested hose in quality inspection area

Hose Coiling and Pressure Test:
Maintain work area in clean and orderly fashion, follow 5S practices
Know and practice all safety regulations and quality guidelines
Report production issues to Direct Lead
Perform work of an equal or lower classification

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC AND NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures, and in a manner that eliminates unreasonable risk to health and the environment.
Notify management of unsafe conditions or practices, unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health or environmental risk.
Report all safety or environmental incidents to management immediately.
Prevent excess waste of product or components by operating the equipment in an efficient manner.
Participate in peer-based teams (i.e., Natural High Performance Teams), and work with groups to initiate and implement programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5-S.
Other duties may be assigned at a later time

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education required:
High School diploma or GED

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Sound decision making skills.
Good math, reading, writing skills.
Be able to exercise continuous mental, visual, and audio attention.
Ability to work well in a team environment.

Skills and Competencies:
Basic computer skills.
Ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes in order to take appropriate action.
Vision: Near acuity and accommodation for reading information to perform job tasks.
Requires constant alertness to surroundings and product quality with attention to detail.
