We are seeking to hire a Construction Quality Engineer for our client in the Arizona market.
9/80 Schedule and 90-100% domestic travel required

The Construction Quality Engineer will be responsible for the overall quality of programs to ensure building projects meet safety, legal and design specifications by inspecting
materials, processes and finished work.

Education & Experience:
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field
Proven experience in QA/QC roles within the construction industry
Understanding of construction materials, codes, and safety regulations

Skills & Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal skills, to include written/verbal communication
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to bring multi-discipline teams together to resolve complex issues
Broad understanding of applicable industry tools, systems & processes
Knowledge and demonstrated experience in:
Ability to read and understand Drawings and CAD Models
Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
Use of various measurement tools and methods
On average 90-100% domestic travel is required

Responsibilities and Tasks in order of priority to be successful
Development of Construction Quality Plan for all assigned projects
Manage quality of construction process across project life cycle to include:
o Site Survey
o Engineering Design Review
o Pre-Installation Planning
o Site Preparation
o Underground and Surface Utilities
o System Installation
o Site Restoration
Risk Assessment with potential impacts to costs, schedule and safety
Conduct weekly site inspections, including materials testing (concrete and soil) and
checking structural elements against drawings. The CQE will validate:
o Depth of borehole / borehole straight no more than 2% out of vertical
o Amount of sand in each bore hole
o Depth of vault / Trench depth
o Sensor system equipment installed and connected
Validate Create and maintain Inspection Test Plans, audit reports and quality records
o Write daily status reports during deployment
Identify, document and manage non-conformance reports (NCR?s)
Coordinate Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCAR?s) with Supplier Quality
Engineering to drive Root Cause and Correction Actions with subcontractors
Ensure all work complies with industry codes, safety regulations, and project specifications..
Collaborate on contractor Statements of Work development
Ability to solve complex system level issues through development and collaboration with multi-
discipline teams.
Complete projects as assigned by the Director of Quality.
Recommend the suspension of the use of suppliers when there is evidence that the products may not meet Customer, statutory, regulatory, or other stakeholder requirements.
