Weekly Pay! 4 Month Contract Pay Rate - $15.50/hr Day Shift: 4:30am-1pm, 10:30am-7pm, or 11:30am-8pm with weekends Job Description We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, strong attention to detail, and the ability to provide excellent service in a fast-paced environment. This position is responsible for preparing and producing quality meals while maintaining cleanliness, food safety standards, and a positive experience for customers, patients, and team members. The ideal candidate is outgoing, friendly, and committed to delivering exceptional service while supporting daily kitchen operations. Key Responsibilities * Prepare and produce food items according to established recipes, production guidelines, and quality standards. * Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency, taste, and proper portion control. * Perform food preparation tasks including chopping, mixing, cooking, assembling, and portioning meals. * Support daily food production needs while maintaining efficiency and accuracy. * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment. * Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures. * Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, and food preparation surfaces. * Provide excellent customer service with a positive and professional attitude. * Communicate effectively with team members and support overall kitchen operations. * Follow department policies and procedures to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Required Qualifications * Minimum of 3 years of cooking and/or food preparation experience. * Excellent customer service skills with a positive and friendly attitude. * Ability to follow recipes and food preparation instructions accurately. * Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and safety. Preferred Qualifications * Previous healthcare food service, hospital, dietary, or institutional kitchen experience preferred. * Experience preparing meals in a high-volume food service environment. * Knowledge of healthcare food safety practices and sanitation standards. Required Certification * Texas Food Handler Card required.
