JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Facilities Technician with 3 to 5 years of building maintenance experience to support the maintenance, repair, and operation of facility equipment and infrastructure.
This role is ideal for a technically minded individual who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of building systems and material handling equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform general building maintenance and repairs, including:
Dock door repairs and maintenance
Door hardware repair and replacement (handles, locks, hinges, etc.)
Light bulb and fixture replacement
Faucet and plumbing fixture repairs
Preventive maintenance on facility systems and equipment
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and facility-related issues.
Operate and safely use maintenance tools and equipment.
Support facility upkeep projects and respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment while following all company safety policies.

Preferred Qualifications:

3 to 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or a related field.
Experience working on:
Raymond electric pallet jacks
Forklifts
Crown material handling equipment (MHE)
HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting experience preferred.
Ammonia refrigeration experience is highly desirable.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.

Equipment Used:

Hand tools, including wrenches and other maintenance tools
Ladders
Reach trucks
Scissor lifts
Electric pallet jacks
Other material handling and maintenance equipment as needed

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry up to 50-60 pounds without assistance.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform physical maintenance tasks throughout the workday.
Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Steel-toe boots
Jeans or durable work pants
