Job Summary
The Instrument Test Technician II performs production testing, troubleshooting, calibration, optimization, inspection, and repair of sophisticated laboratory and medical diagnostic instruments.

This role requires hands-on experience with electronic, optical, fluidic, and electromechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, experience with oscilloscopes and other test equipment, and a background in medical device or high-tech manufacturing.

Responsibilities
Perform final testing and inspection of assembled instruments
Conduct laser alignment and optical adjustments
Perform electrical and pressure calibrations
Troubleshoot electronic, optical, mechanical, and fluidic systems
Diagnose root causes of product failures
Repair or replace defective components
Document test results and maintain Device History Records (DHR)
Review engineering drawings, work instructions, and SOPs
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams
Support process improvement initiatives
Assist with quality and reliability projects
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Complete documentation accurately and on time

Required Qualifications
Associate Degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, Biomedical Technology, or related field preferred
Minimum 3 years of experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment
Experience working in medical device manufacturing
Experience troubleshooting and testing:
Electronic systems
Optical systems
Laser-based systems
Fluidic systems
Analog and digital circuitry

Experience using:
Oscilloscopes
Digital Volt Meters (DVM)
Logic Analyzers
Electronic test equipment
Strong computer skills including:
Microsoft Excel
Microsoft Word
PowerPoint
Visio
Understanding of ISO 9000 and cGMP environments
Ability to read technical documentation and engineering drawings
