Instrument Test Technician II - Medical Device Testing Pay: $28 to $32/hr (based on experience) Schedule: Monday thorugh Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM Experience Required: 3+ years Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance after 90 days Supplemental health insurance available Day 1 Weekly pay every Friday About the Role Jobsrus.com is seeking an experienced Instrument Test Technician II to perform production testing, troubleshooting, and optimization of complex medical device instruments, including flow cytometers. This role requires strong technical ability, hands on troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with engineering, QA, and production teams. Key Responsibilities Perform system optimization after assembly (laser alignment, pressure adjustments, electrical tuning) Conduct final production testing and inspections to ensure products meet performance specifications Troubleshoot system level and subassembly level issues to identify root causes Repair or replace defective components and document corrective actions Record test data, plot results, and complete Device History Record (DHR) documentation Read and interpret detailed test instructions, SOPs, BOMs, work orders, and technical documentation Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and production staff to resolve issues and improve processes Provide feedback on test methods, product design, and production efficiency Support quality improvement, cost reduction, and new product introduction projects Assist with updating process and product documentation Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Complete all required paperwork and maintain training records Qualifications Associates degree (A.S.) or equivalent technical training 3+ years experience in high tech or medical device manufacturing Strong troubleshooting experience with: Laser based optical systems Fluidic systems Digital and analog circuitry Proficient with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DVMs, and general test equipment Strong computer skills (Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Windows/Mac OS) Knowledge of ISO 9000, cGMP 21 CFR Part 820, LEAN, Six Sigma, and DFT Ability to lift 35 lbs and perform hands on mechanical work Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment If you are interested in joining Jobsrus.com as an Instrument Test Technician II, apply now to be considered.
