Microbiology Development Tech 3

Schedule: Monday through Friday, flexible start time (7:30 AM to 9:00 AM), occasional Saturdays
Pay: $22.80 to $26.40/hr (based on experience)
Experience Required: 0 to 5 years

About the Role
Jobsrus.com is seeking a Microbiology Development Tech 3, professional to support Quality Assurance laboratory operations, compendial microbiology testing, environmental monitoring, and sterilization assurance activities. This role requires hands on microbiology experience, strong documentation skills, and the ability to work in cleanroom and GMP environments.

Key Responsibilities
Perform microbiological testing such as bioburden, endotoxin, microbial limits, BI testing, environmental monitoring, plate reads, and general lab setup
Execute EO/ECH residual testing using gas chromatography (GC-FID)
Conduct environmental monitoring in classified GMP manufacturing areas
Work aseptically with live organisms and cultures
Verify lab equipment and maintain laboratory glassware
Maintain chemical inventory, distribute supplies, and dispose of lab waste
Perform monthly inspections of laboratory safety equipment
Write and update SOPs, technical reports, and laboratory documentation
Conduct investigations and escalate issues appropriately
Follow GLP, GMP, GDP, ISO, and USP standards
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment
Work flexible hours and occasional overtime as needed

Preferred Background
Prior microbiology lab experience
Experience in high speed manufacturing or cleanroom environments
Environmental monitoring troubleshooting experience
Pharmaceutical or medical device experience

Qualifications
2+ years of laboratory experience or equivalent
Understanding of GLP, GMP, GDP, ISO, and USP standards
BS degree in Microbiology or related STEM field preferred
Experience with bioburden, BIs, PCDs, EO residuals, endotoxins, and environmental monitoring
Familiarity with Labware, Empower, SAP, and Microsoft Office
Ability to interpret drawings/specifications and use basic math
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, lift, and work in cleanroom environments with required PPE
