Location: Aurora, IL Pay: $19.00 per hour Schedule: 7:00 AM ? 7:00 PM | 4-day work week (12-hour shifts) Jobs RUs.com is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Production Shift Operator to join our manufacturing team in Aurora, IL. In this role, you will operate plastic lumber extrusion equipment, monitor production processes, perform quality inspections, and ensure finished products meet company standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities: Operate extrusion lines according to setup procedures and production specifications. Perform machine startups, shutdowns, color changes, and formula adjustments as needed. Monitor equipment performance, respond to machine alarms, and troubleshoot operational issues. Load and refill production materials, including lifting and carrying 20?30 lb. buckets. Inspect finished products using tools such as calipers, measuring tape, and digital scales. Record production and quality data using basic computer systems. Band and prepare finished goods for shipment. Reprocess defective materials for reuse. Perform routine equipment maintenance, including changing shavings bags and barrels. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives. Report production issues, equipment concerns, and safety hazards to supervisors. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Manufacturing experience preferred (2+ years of continuous employment preferred). Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines. Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality. Basic computer skills for data entry. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods. Comfortable working in a hot manufacturing environment. Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a 4-day work schedule.
