Position: Tech 1, Mechanical Engineering Location: San Diego, CA 92121 Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM Pay Rate: $24.00/hour Interview Type: In-Person Job Overview JobsRUs.com is seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Engineering Technician to support laboratory testing and engineering activities in a fast-paced research and development environment. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates interested in gaining hands-on experience in testing, documentation, laboratory operations, and engineering support. Responsibilities Maintain accurate and detailed test records and documentation. Collect and record data manually and electronically. Follow laboratory best practices and safety procedures. Handle chemicals and cleaning agents safely while using appropriate PPE. Understand and follow established protocols and training requirements. Monitor testing activities and communicate observations or anomalies. Collaborate with team members to ensure projects remain on schedule. Identify issues requiring escalation to supervisors or test owners. Perform repetitive tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Maintain an organized and safe work environment. Qualifications Required: High School Diploma or GED. Strong verbal, written, reading, and listening skills in English. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to follow written procedures and testing protocols. Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
