Position Summary

We are seeking a Shipping & Receiving / Stockroom Specialist to support daily material and product operations in a team-oriented environment. This position is responsible for receiving, identifying, storing, shipping, and maintaining materials and parts while ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with company procedures.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with computer systems, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.

Key Responsibilities
Shipping & Receiving
Receive incoming shipments and verify materials against documentation for proper identification and quantity.
Load and unload trucks and move materials to designated locations.
Prepare parts and materials for safe shipment, including packaging, labeling, and required documentation.
Prepare air bills, bills of lading, sales orders, shipping records, and other required paperwork.
Coordinate with carriers for shipment dispatch, rates, tracing, and follow-up.
Weigh and count incoming and outgoing parts and materials.
Enter and maintain accurate shipping and receiving information in computer systems.
Review documentation for completeness and accuracy.
Stockroom & Inventory
Identify and organize parts by type, part number, or other required specifications.
Prepare materials for storage and place inventory in designated locations.
Pull parts from stock to fulfill orders according to parts lists.
Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory accuracy.
Maintain and update inventory records using computer systems.
Operate automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS), when applicable.
Raw Stock & Parts Identification
Receive and verify raw stock against documentation.
Identify and code raw materials.
Operate saw equipment to cut stock to specified dimensions, when required.
Identify parts using appropriate methods, equipment, travelers, and blueprints.
Mark parts according to required dimensions and specifications.
Issue jobs according to schedule and update shop floor, MRP, and other applicable systems.
Report material shortages, equipment concerns, and other issues to the appropriate teams.
Perform minor equipment repairs as needed.
Clean Operations
Clean and degrease parts and equipment using approved methods and procedures.
Maintain cleaning solutions as required.
Oil parts to help prevent rust and corrosion.
Follow all applicable safety procedures and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
2+ years of related product support experience or demonstrated ability to perform the responsibilities of the position.
Experience in shipping, receiving, stockroom, warehouse, inventory, manufacturing, or material handling preferred.
Strong computer and data-entry skills.
Ability to read and understand forms, specifications, travelers, and related documentation.
Basic mathematical skills and ability to perform calculations.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good manual dexterity.
Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as required.
May be required to obtain a forklift operator certification.
May be required to operate material-moving and saw equipment and meet applicable OSHA safety requirements.
