The Data Analyst will work with large and complex datasets from multiple sources, using SQL to combine and analyze information, identify data quality issues and trends, and develop meaningful insights for project teams and stakeholders.

This role will contribute to the development of approximately 2?5 analytical tools, repeatable reports, and Power BI dashboards by the end of 2026.

Key Responsibilities

Use SQL, including complex joins and data transformations, to combine datasets.
Review, validate, and determine whether data is appropriate and sufficient for analysis.
Identify data quality issues, anomalies, inconsistencies, trends, and outliers.
Perform data analysis and translate findings into meaningful business and operational insights.
Develop reports, dashboards, visualizations, and other analytical products.
Create repeatable reporting and analytical processes.
Support testing and validation of analytical tools and methodologies.
Troubleshoot data issues and perform root-cause analysis.
Communicate findings and escalate data issues appropriately.
Work collaboratively with engineers, clean energy program managers, and subject matter experts.
Help refine data aggregations, including rolling customer account-level information into building-level profiles.
Manage multiple workflows and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
2+ years of professional data analysis experience.
Strong SQL experience.
Experience analyzing large and/or complex datasets.
Experience working with data from multiple source systems.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established processes.
Ability to identify anomalies, inconsistencies, and data quality issues.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong investigative and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to track, communicate, and escalate issues with appropriate urgency.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and workflows.
Preferred Qualifications

The following experience is highly desirable but not required:

Utility industry experience.
Electric utility or customer usage data.

Experience working with very large datasets and complex data relationships/joins.
Bulk data testing and development/execution of testing and verification plans.
Data pipeline troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented Data Analyst with strong SQL skills and experience working with complex data from multiple systems. They should be comfortable investigating data rather than simply reporting results, identifying potential issues, and turning raw data into actionable insights.

Experience in the utility, clean energy, GIS, AMI, or Power BI space is a strong plus.
