Sign-On Bonus: $1,000 after 90 days, based on performance and attendance Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to support manufacturing operations. This position operates machinery and equipment to produce standard and customized products while maintaining established safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping standards. The Machine Operator will perform machine shop and press operations, inspect finished products, document production results, make basic machine adjustments, and troubleshoot simple quality or equipment issues. Important: This position works in the powder area, and employees are required to wear a respirator while performing job duties. Key Responsibilities Operate manufacturing equipment according to established procedures and guidelines. Perform machine shop and press operations. Operate equipment such as: Press production machines Braid winding machines Lathes Crimping machines Read and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, manufacturing drawings, bills of material, and written procedures. Accurately record the number of good and scrap parts produced. Use basic hand tools, including screwdrivers and drill guns. Maintain product inventory at assigned workstations. Perform quality inspections to ensure products meet established standards and tolerances. Identify product defects and report them to appropriate personnel. Adjust machine settings as necessary to complete assigned work. Troubleshoot and resolve basic product quality issues. Maintain accurate and timely production data. Follow safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping requirements. Properly use required personal protective equipment and safety equipment. Verify machine guards, interlocks, and safety curtains are functioning properly and report issues when identified. Report safety hazards, accidents, near misses, and other concerns to management. Understand and follow requirements for handling hazardous materials and applicable MSDS/SDS information. Work independently or as part of a team. Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor. Qualifications Required High School Diploma or GED. Basic reading and math skills. Ability to speak and understand English. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to read and interpret a tape measure or other measuring devices. Ability to use basic hand tools. Ability to think critically and use reasoning to solve basic problems. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Reliable attendance is an essential function of the position. Preferred Previous Machine Operator experience. Manufacturing or production experience. Experience operating presses, lathes, crimping machines, braid winding equipment, or similar machinery. Experience reading blueprints or manufacturing drawings. Experience performing quality inspections and basic machine troubleshooting. Physical & Environmental Requirements Regularly lift up to 35 pounds. Perform repetitive manufacturing tasks. Possess manual dexterity to accurately assemble or position parts. Ability to stand, sit, stoop, bend, and reach above shoulder level for portions of the workday. Work in an environment with constant noise, dust, grease, and oils. Good near and far vision required. Hearing aids are permitted. Respirator use is required when working in the powder area. Must follow all applicable PPE and safety requirements. | |
