Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Vaccine Packaging Operator to support the labeling, inspection, and packaging of finished vaccine products in a regulated manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for operating packaging machinery, completing equipment changeovers and setups, performing product inspections, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring all production activities are completed in accordance with cGMP, SOPs, safety requirements, and quality standards. The ideal candidate has hands-on manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, basic mechanical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Key Responsibilities Operate packaging equipment, including: Labelers Pick-and-place equipment Heat tunnels Vision inspection systems Forklifts and other material-handling equipment Label, inspect, and package finished vaccine products. Operate equipment efficiently while maintaining required production line rates. Perform equipment setup and changeovers according to established procedures. Perform initial troubleshooting of packaging equipment issues. Inspect products accurately and efficiently to ensure compliance with quality requirements. Perform QA line clearances, including small-volume production lines. Complete batch tickets and accurately document materials consumed during production. Monitor production processes against manufacturing records, data capture forms, and SOPs. Ensure all required cGMP documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted on time. Read, understand, and follow GMP requirements, SOPs, and established manufacturing procedures. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Maintain production equipment and facilities according to SOP requirements. Follow defined process sequences and manufacturing instructions. Participate in daily team performance reviews. Provide feedback regarding proposed process improvements. Cross-train in other departmental functions as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by the Shift Line Leader or Supervisor. Communication & Teamwork Communicate production and processing needs with team members. Provide regular progress updates to the Shift Line Leader and/or Supervisor. Immediately communicate process issues, abnormalities, or occurrences through the appropriate escalation process. Communicate facility, equipment, and inventory needs. Collaborate effectively with other departments to meet production goals and timelines. Safety & Compliance Follow all applicable cGMP, SOP, quality, and safety requirements. Demonstrate commitment to the company's Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) program. Identify and report unsafe work practices, conditions, or behaviors. Maintain compliance with established manufacturing and documentation procedures. Required Qualifications 2?3 years of manufacturing experience. Experience operating manufacturing or packaging equipment. Equipment/process troubleshooting experience. Strong attention to detail and quality focus. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Basic math and computer skills. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. Ability to follow detailed written procedures and manufacturing instructions. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented production environment. Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of related manufacturing or packaging experience. Previous pharmaceutical, biotechnology, vaccine, or other GMP-regulated manufacturing experience. Forklift certification. Experience with packaging machinery, labeling equipment, vision systems, or automated production equipment. Experience with cGMP documentation and batch records. Education High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate Degree preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered. | |
