Description

We are seeking an experienced NDT Technician III with strong X-Ray and Digital Radiography experience to perform non-destructive testing on a variety of sheet metal aircraft components.

Candidates must have documented NDT hours and applicable certifications. Experience and certification in FPI, Radiographic, and Digital X-Ray Inspection are required.

The NDT Technician III will inspect complex components, interpret test results, develop and approve inspection techniques, document findings, and ensure all customer and quality requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities
Perform non-destructive testing on aircraft sheet metal components.
Process complex parts and accurately interpret inspection findings according to company and customer specifications.
Follow established NDT technique sheets and ensure revisions meet all applicable requirements.
Create, evaluate, and approve technique sheets for:
Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI)
Radiographic Inspection
Digital X-Ray Inspection
Program and operate Digital X-Ray systems.
Detect faulty processes and recommend corrective actions.
Verify customer requirements are satisfied before implementing process changes.
Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of NDT methods and recommend improvements.
Audit NDT personnel and verify the adequacy of inspection performance.
Accurately document inspection results and findings.
Use precision measurement equipment including calipers, micrometers, and other inspection devices.
Ensure manufacturing planning documentation and paperless timecards contain accurate information and quantities.
Read and interpret written instructions, sketches, schedules, engineering drawings, and other technical documents.
Conduct audits of NDT procedures and processes.
Interface with customers and provide objective evidence supporting compliance with requirements.
Collaborate with Quality Engineering, Design Engineering, and Manufacturing teams.
May provide oversight or guidance to other NDT personnel.
Follow all established quality, safety, and operating procedures.
Required Qualifications
NDT hours and applicable certifications are required.
Certification in FPI, Radiographic, and Digital X-Ray Inspection.
Strong experience with X-Ray and Digital Radiography.
Ability to inspect complex and custom parts across multiple NDT work centers.
Ability to read and understand manufacturing planning, engineering blueprints, and sketches.
Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Knowledge of shop mathematics and precision measurement equipment.
Ability to identify and resolve NDT process issues.
Strong understanding of manufacturing and NDT processes.
Ability to effectively communicate with Quality, Design Engineering, and Manufacturing personnel.
General knowledge of welding and forming processes.

The ideal candidate is an experienced aerospace NDT professional who can independently perform complex inspections, interpret radiographic findings, develop and approve NDT techniques, and ensure compliance with customer and quality requirements.
