JobsRUs.com is seeking to hire a Heat Treat Operator for our client in Carson! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! $22.00/Hour Shift: Mon-Fri (2pm-11:30pm) *Entry level position; training provided *Experience with furnaces, fasteners, shakers is PLUS!!!!!! *This job is very labor intensive; standing on feet for long periods of time, working in hot heat environments (over 100 degrees). Additonal breaks are provided. *High School diploma or GED required *Must be able to lift up to 30lbs * Requires specific knowledge of general heat treat requirements for aluminum, titanium, nickel based alloys, stainless, and alloy steels * Must be familiar with Heat Treat scheduling to ensure proper sequence for product through heat treating. * Must be familiar with the operation, adjustment and routine maintenance of all furnace controllers. * Under the direction of an operator will batch loads for optimum productivity * Will be trained and under guidance will set thermal couple, prepare load per optimal heat distribution of load * Unload furnaces * Responsible for heat treat and process furnace accuracy and uniformity surveys * Ability to move parts on and off pallets * Interpret hardness rating utilizing measuring tools and standards * Places work piece into a heating furnace for a specified period of time * Will be responsible for Hardness testing, utilizing specific calibrated hardness testing equipment * Must have understanding and knowledge of company procedures and work instructions * Maintains a safe and organized workstation and follows all company policy, safety and procedures. Skill/Knowledge: * High School Diploma or GED and 1 to 3 years of relative manufacturing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience * Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization * Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs * Basic computer knowledge preferred * Must be certified to operate a forklift to approved O.S.H.A. standards * Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear * Frequently is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl | |
