Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to support the Privacy Operations team in strengthening enterprise privacy and data governance programs for Con Edison and Orange & Rockland. This role will oversee the development and prioritization of products and features for a third-party data-sharing governance platform, helping create a centralized inventory of sensitive-data sharing activities, associated risks, security agreements, controls, and compliance requirements. The Product Owner will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and cross-functional partners to establish product priorities, develop requirements and roadmaps, coordinate testing and implementations, and ensure solutions meet business, privacy, security, and regulatory needs. Key Responsibilities Own product and feature development, prioritization, and roadmap planning for privacy and data governance solutions. Lead cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders throughout the project and product lifecycle. Develop business and product requirements, user stories, stakeholder documentation, risk registers, and implementation plans. Coordinate project activities, meetings, timelines, tasks, status reporting, and financial tracking. Develop communication strategies and materials to build stakeholder awareness, gather feedback, and drive alignment. Conduct research and benchmarking to stay current on privacy legislation, industry trends, and best practices. Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases for business process and system changes. Document testing results, identify issues, and collaborate with technical and business teams to resolve them. Support the implementation of privacy-by-design practices and data governance controls. Partner with stakeholders to improve processes related to the collection, storage, processing, and sharing of personal data. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree. Experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role supporting technology implementations. Experience in privacy, data governance, risk management, compliance, or related operations. Strong project management, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience developing product roadmaps, user stories, requirements, presentations, and technical/business documentation. Experience working with cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and deliverables independently and collaboratively. Preferred Skills Experience with OneTrust or similar privacy/data governance platforms. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint. Experience with Azure DevOps or similar project/product management tools. Experience in a regulated environment, particularly the utility industry. Vendor management or supervisory experience. | |
