Pay Rate: $16.00/hour Job Description The Traffic Controller is responsible for safely directing and managing the flow of vehicles and pedestrians in and around designated parking and traffic areas. This position helps maintain a safe, organized environment while ensuring vehicles and guests move efficiently during cruise ship operations. Primary Responsibilities Assist with setting up signage, stanchions, and other equipment for cruise ship operations. Direct traffic in a busy parking area, including buses, tractor-trailers, and personal vehicles. Maintain personal and guest safety through strong spatial awareness. Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic within assigned areas. Answer general guest questions using information provided during training. Remain calm and professional in a busy, fast-paced environment. Stand and walk for the duration of the shift. Work outdoors in various weather conditions. Assist with tear-down and storage of signs, stanchions, and other equipment following cruise turnover. Mandatory Requirements Weekend availability. Ability to lift 30+ pounds throughout the shift. Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift. Previous customer service experience. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Positive and professional attitude. Comfortable working around vehicles and pedestrians in a busy environment. | |
