JobsRUs.com is seeking to hire a Test Lab Technician/Apprentice for our client in Irving! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! $20.00/Hour Shift:Monday - Friday 06 AM - 03 PM Duties: ? Assist other personnel in performing more complex and involved testing through test sample preparation, instrumentation and assisting with the tests as required ? Build wall and floor sections for use in firestop testing ? Prepare test samples for installation of penetrations by diamond coring, cutting, or other methods ? Install penetrations and firestop systems in test assemblies ? Complete assignments in a timely and efficient manner by maintaining work areas and assigned equipment in good working order ? Complete special projects as assigned by supervisor ? Adhere to Quality Philosophy of meeting customer needs and expectations by continual improvements of processes, assigned tasks, and related responsibilities ? Additional duties as assigned Education: High School Diploma or GED required ? Experience in lab, mechanical testing, or related construction activities, preferred ? Basic mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of construction tools, equipment, and safety precautions, required ? Basic math skills (algebra, trigonometry), required ? Basic use of PC software (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook) preferred ? Ability to interpret drawings and sketches required ? Basic carpentry and metal working skills required ? Forklift license, required | |
