These are on-site assignments, and candidates must have an active Texas SLPA license before submission. School-based experience and reliable transportation are required.

Supervision hours toward obtaining SLPA licensure will not be provided. Candidates who are still completing licensing requirements or do not have their license in hand will not be considered.

Commute and Location Requirements

Because Houston is a large metropolitan area with significant traffic, candidates must be screened for commute feasibility before submission.

Recruiters must review the exact campus locations and assigned schedule with each candidate and confirm that the candidate can reliably commute to every assigned campus. Commutes exceeding approximately 30 miles are generally not feasible.

Candidates must understand and agree to the campus assignments before being presented to HISD.
