We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Material Handler to join our logistics team. We have 1st and 2nd shifts available. Must be able to pass BG and DT. Temp to Hire position. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, storage, and distribution of materials within the warehouse environment. Your expertise will ensure smooth warehouse operations, accurate inventory management, and safe handling of heavy and manual materials. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety protocols, operational excellence, and teamwork to support our company's supply chain objectives. Duties Load and unload shipments using appropriate heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and cranes, adhering strictly to safety standards. Pick and prepare orders accurately using RF scanners and manual methods to meet shipping deadlines. Operate various warehouse equipment including forklifts, clamp trucks, and heavy lifting machinery following OSHA safety guidelines. Manage inventory through regular stock counts, updating records with inventory management systems to ensure accuracy. Assist in shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing goods against documentation. Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment by properly handling materials and ensuring safe manual handling practices. Support warehouse supervisors in coordinating daily operations and implementing safety protocols. Load and unload materials efficiently while ensuring proper stacking and storage to prevent damage or accidents. Use basic math skills to verify quantities, measure materials, and prepare reports as needed. Follow all safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation, OSHA regulations, and warehouse safety standards. Skills Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, shipping & receiving, and inventory management. Skilled in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, crane systems, pallet jacks, and load/unload machinery. Strong knowledge of warehouse operations including materials handling and manual handling techniques. Familiarity with RF scanners for efficient order picking and inventory updates. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for measurements and inventory counts. Experience with warehouse supervisor roles or leadership responsibilities is a plus. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and adherence to safety protocol guidelines. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing stock levels and documentation. Capable of heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper ergonomic practices. Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members across shipping & receiving functions.
