New Hire Incentive Bonus: (once converted) $1000 in 3 payments, can?t have any disciplines in that quarter. 1st Shift: 6am-2:30pm M-F JOB SUMMARY: Set up and adjust the welder to perform production welding on all forms and thicknesses of steel to assemble parts together using the MIG process. Will have the opportunity to acquire the skills necessary to advance to Arc Welder #1 classification. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Must be able to read and understand blue prints and routings and produce parts from the information obtained from them to the required tolerances. 2. Responsible for the quality of the parts produced. Follow all safety rules regarding machine operation and proper guarding. Maintain simple reports on productivity, quality and safety. QUALIFICATIONS: Possess and be able to use inspection equipment to ensure the quality of the parts being produced. Must be equipped with all required tools to perform the functions of their job. Physically able to do work requiring frequent standing, bending and lifting up to 30 lbs. frequently. Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work order instructions and prepare simple Production reports. Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions, operate machines and inspect parts. Sufficient manual dexterity to operate the equipment properly. ARC WELD DEPT. REQUIRED TOOLING LIST Per article X, section ?K? of the contract these tools must be acquired within the prescribed time period in order for the employee to be classified. Standard Pliers Wire Cutters Machinist Square, (12 or 12 inch) Tape measure, (12 foot) 12-inch Adjustable Wrench Chisel Ball Peen Hammer Tool Box for above tools Does not require HS diploma or GED for hourly shop roles | |
