Job Title: Take Up Pay: $18.75/hr + $2 shift diffrential = $20.75 3rd shift - (3:30 PM ? 11:30 PM) (Mon-Fri) - MANDATORY OT SUMMARY OF POSITION: Make PTFE tube by operating sintering ovens and take up equipment; monitor for proper product quality. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provide Quality Control lab with test samples from each extrusion Adjust pads on take up according to the size of diameter on manufacturing specifications and change oven profiles according to instructions Communicate number of preforms needed for job based on footage to extrusion department Create SPC chart for new job to track OD Monitor and measure wall thickness, OD and ID of beginning and ending cuts After finished tube is extruded, pressure test with air If needed, run finished tube through roller test before pressure testing with air Fill out Preform Record Form, enter data into MRP, print labels and use scanner to place in stock Maintain work area in clean and orderly fashion, follow 5S practices Know and practice all safety regulations and quality guidelines Report production issues to Direct Lead Perform work of an equal or lower classification Perform related and other duties assigned by the Value Stream Team Lead. DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures, and in a manner that eliminates unreasonable risk to health and the environment. Notify management of unsafe conditions or practices, unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk. Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to management immediately. Prevent excess waste of product and/or components by operating the equipment in an efficient manner. Participate in peer-based teams (i.e., Natural High Performance Teams), and work with groups to initiate and implement programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5-S.
