JobsRUs.com is seeking to hire a Maintenance Technician for our client in Edison! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! $/Hour 1st Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM (8-hour shift) OR 2nd Shift: 10:00 AM until work is completed (typically 6:00 PM - 6:30 PM, depending on production volume) OT: 5-10 hours per week, depending on operational needs Job Responsibilities Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment, including packaging machines, conveyors, and belts. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and building systems. Troubleshoot electrical systems, motors, starters, variable frequency drives, lighting, and sensors. Read and follow electrical diagrams, hydraulic schematics, and technical manuals. Maintain HVAC systems by changing filters, replacing belts, cleaning condensers, and monitoring temperatures. Assist with refrigeration system maintenance. Repair plumbing systems, including sinks, toilets, water heaters, drains, and power washers. Perform general building repairs, including painting, drywall, ceiling tiles, and lighting. Repair dock equipment, trailer restraints, high-speed doors, exhaust fans, and material handling equipment. Complete work orders and maintenance records using SAP. Help improve equipment reliability and reduce production downtime. Skills and Qualifications 3?5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, production, distribution, or warehouse setting. Strong electrical and HVAC troubleshooting skills. Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to read wiring diagrams, hydraulic schematics, and technical manuals. Strong math, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Ability to speak, read, and write English effectively. Industrial refrigeration and material handling equipment experience preferred. Experience operating a scissor lift, reach truck, or motorized pallet jack preferred. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Physical Requirements Lift and move 50?75 pounds. Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb throughout the shift. Work Environment Work takes place in a cold, wet, and noisy food production and warehouse facility. Most work is performed in the production cutting area, where temperatures average around 37°F. Employees must follow safety procedures while working in these conditions. | |
