JobsRUs.com is seeking to hire a QA Specialist for our client in Northwood! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! $22.00/Hour Shift:Monday - Friday 11 AM - 8/9 PM (30 min unpaid lunch), with two paid 15 min breaks. ob Responsibilities Inspect raw materials, products in progress, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and customer requirements. Check product samples and record inspection results on the proper forms or logs. Measure product weight, temperature, size, and other features to confirm quality. Check product appearance, size, origin, and count before shipment. Identify products that do not meet quality standards and report issues to department managers. Help determine what should be done with products that fail inspection. Notify order selectors if there are concerns about the quality or accuracy of selected products. Use an iPad and computer to record results and complete reports. Follow food safety rules and quality procedures. Work with production teams to help maintain product quality and customer satisfaction. Skills and Qualifications 3?5 years of previous Quality Assurance experience required. Food industry experience preferred; candidates with QA experience in other industries may be considered. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English. Basic math skills. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows. Ability to use an iPad and computer. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Willingness to stay beyond scheduled hours when needed to finish production work. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures. For meat processing facilities: knowledge of meat cuts, product specifications, USDA/FSIS regulations, HACCP, SSOPs, and meat cut tickets. Experience measuring and weighing products is preferred. For produce facilities: knowledge of produce items. Physical Requirements Lift and move up to 75 pounds. Stand, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as needed. Work in different temperatures and warehouse conditions. Work Environment Work takes place in a cold production and warehouse environment. Employees must dress appropriately for cold conditions and wear steel-toe safety shoes. | |
