1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm

Job Description

The Quality Technician V ensures products meet the required quality standards and is responsible for examining materials and products to check for flaws and deviations from original specifications.

? Completion of incoming inspection activities ? part receipt, visual & mechanical inspection, documentation of non-conforming material, ERP updates, Non-Conforming Material database (Compliant Pro), disposition of non-conforming material, review Supplier quality data to assure conformance with requirements
? Completes First Article Inspection activities.
? Completes Final Product Verification and Audit Release functions.
? Participates in compliance with third-party, customer, process, and internal audits.
? Completes activities to support the internal calibration program such as collecting and returning equipment to its place, organizing, & calibrating devices as well as maintaining the calibration database.
? Support engineering with the creation of an Engineering Sample Inspection Report
? Support review of customer return / RMA (TCT, rubber eyes, and TCT Mount) and quotation as needed.
? Must maintain exceedingly collaborative and effective interaction with Production and Engineering teams in support of the Quality Management System activities.
? Interface with Manufacturing, Engineering, and supplier personnel to analyze and isolate product quality problems.
? Resolve problems related to supplier performance through coordination of internal activities and interface (including on-site visits) with suppliers, as required.
? Additional duties as assigned.
? AAS degree in a technical discipline with at least 3 years of experience in the manufacturing environment, preferably in Quality Inspection.
? Self-starter, able to work under minimal supervision
? Familiar with validation and calibration requirements within the medical device manufacturing environment.
? Computer competency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, ERP systems EQMS (Compliant Pro), and Calibration databases.
? Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
? Ability and demonstrated knowledge using various measurement gages (i.e. CMM, Optical comparator, caliper, micrometer, height gage, Multimeter, Oscilloscope etc.)
? Demonstrated writing and communication skills.
? Experience in interacting with suppliers of optical components and machined parts.
? May require common protective or safety equipment.
? Must be able to utilize a microscope for extended periods of time.
? Regularly required to sit or stand and move about the facility. May be exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, and odors.
