Qualifications:
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION: 1. High school diploma or GED required. One or two years of college or four-year military service preferred. 2. Good mechanical ability, logical trouble-shooting skills and attention to detail. 3. Basic math skills and computer skills required. 4. Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. 5. Prior experience operating a forklift strongly preferred. Experience in a manufacturing environment also desired. Responsibilities:
BASIC PURPOSE OF POSITION: Assist in the set-up, run, and monitor any one of the slitting machines. Ensures machine is producing a quality product in a timely fashion. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: 1. Operates a forklift and/or pallet jack to move product. 2. Acts in a safe manner at all times. Follows all company policies and procedures as they relate to safety reporting. Reports all safety incidents or hazards immediately upon occurrence. 3. Efficiently performs set-up, running, monitoring, and troubleshooting (as required) of all the slitting machines. 4. Exercises strong working knowledge about the defects associated with Finished Goods materials and can make all required judgements as to a film?s quality and usability. 5. Prepares slitting documents, core-tags, box labels and quality documents and training documents without immediate supervision. 6. Assists in the packaging of materials when needed including making boxes, packaging material, stacking packaged material on pallets, and moving pallets of completed film. 7. Properly and thoroughly informs the relieving shift and department superiors about machine and production status, material processes, department or job needs and priorities, and problems of observations. 8. Strictly follows standard operating procedures, set-up specifications, supervisor?s instructions, safety regulations and housekeeping policies. Follows procedures for any deviation to the above. 9. Provides regular suggestions and feedback to Slitting supervisor concerning department problems, process improvements, machine operation and safety hazards. NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Records preventive maintenance. 2. Communicates with other plant personnel and supervisors regarding production issues. 3. Informs Supervisor of any parts or supplies needed. 4. Performs other duties as assigned and necessary. 5. Communicates with lead, plant personnel and supervisors regarding production issues. 6. Regularly monitors self-productivity and reports limitations to lead of department supervisor. 7. Participates in continuous improvement and safety observations. This role will mainly be for making boxes for our rolls of film for the 1st 3 months.

Comments/Special Instructions
This assignment base pay rate $18.00/hr with shift premium of $1.00/hr when 2nd shift is worked. Overtime based on business need. Position is a true temp max 3-6 month assignment. All PPE provided by site (steel toed shoes, safety glasses, etc.). This role will mainly be for making boxes for our rolls of film for the 1st 3 months. Keep 6ft+ social distance at all times. HS Diploma/GED required.
