CorTech is seeking to hire a Operator 1 for our client in Belvidere, NJ!

Rotating 12hr, 7 to 7

Operates and monitors equipment and processes to produce quality intermediates and finished products to a pre-determined operations plan. Identifies equipment/process problems and improvement opportunities and communicates findings as appropriate. Makes necessary adjustments to react to process changes or to optimize process performance.

Obtains and inspects finished/in-process product and performs sampling and testing as required.

Operates a forklift, subdivide/dispense raw materials, and performs material handling activities (e.g., loading trailers, manually dumping bags/drums of ingredients and reprocessed material, packaging finished product).

Performs general housekeeping/maintenance of process areas (e.g., painting, cleaning). Performs the principles of Manufacturing Excellence (Manufex) environment, (e.g., minor equipment repair).

Maintains process and equipment documentation for tracking Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Reviews batch sheets for accuracy. Prepares final product labels and maintains label control.

Provides input to Department Management to assist with nonconformance investigations and prepares associated documentation. Generate statistical information to support operations and for use as management tools.

Ensures process lines are grounded during transfer of materials. Completes safety equipment checklists and ensures safety equipment is properly located and functional. Documents safety/environmental incidents and assists Department Management with documentation and notification of appropriate personnel. Maintains necessary certification and attends regulatory training as required. Participates in HAZOP/Pre-Startup review teams as required. Reviews results of Hazard review and compliance audits and other information developed under PSM standards. Initiates work permits and perform lock-outs.

Attends formal training classes. Completes all required computer-based training modules. Assists Department Management with identifying training needs. Supports Technical Staff in the development and/or delivery of training.

Assists with generating and maintaining SOPs, following change control procedures and validation processes as requested.

Follows the Manufex work processes - Supports plant and corporate initiatives as outlined in the Manufacturing Plan. This may include leading improvement initiatives and/or acting as the Ready to Operate (RtO) lead on an Improve Plant or CAPEX project.

Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE):
- Always display and promote positive safety behaviors and intervenes actively when unsafe behaviors or non-compliance is observed as to prevent accidents and incidents.
- Ensures all SHE incidents are reported immediately to supervisor and, as necessary, the Incident Commander on duty.
- Uses proper personal protective equipment, appropriate safety tools, equipment, and procedures to ensure that self and others go home safe each day.
- Area and equipment operate at the highest safety levels,
- All people in the area (maintenance, quality, visitors, contractors, etc.) comply to safety directives and keep the area neat and clean.
- Acts in such a way that safety awareness & accident prevention are considered in performing all tasks.
- Maintains full understanding and follows all Client Life Saving Rules.

Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP):
- Always display and promote positive quality behaviors.
- Acts to prevent all foreign matter contamination to the Client products by following personal hygiene standards, using all prescribed gowning requirements, and ensuring and maintaining cleanliness of the area and equipment.
- Acts to prevent all foreign matter contamination to the Client products by following Chemical Policy for product contact, glass/wood policy and illness reporting policy.
- Reports Quality deviations.
- Follows SOP and good documentation practices.
- Completes the required quality trainings.
