CorTech is looking to hire a Utility Technician for our client in Calipatria, California 92233! Benefits and weekly pay available! $19.44/hr Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions) Adhere to and support all safety and environmental rules, policies, and procedures. Cleaning all of the sumps, conveyance systems and containments at each of the facilities every 90 days. Having the ability to take the CalEnergy man-lift and fork lift training and to achieve certification. Having the ability to take the 40 hour Hazwoper training and to achieve certification. Identified individual with DOT license will operate wet vac trailer and/or water truck. Clean and maintain assigned pumps and associated support equipment and areas. Assist when needed with minor equipment maintenance and cleaning as directed. Maintain logs of vehicles, small engines and various pumps run times. Operates equipment such as forklifts, backhoe, man-lift, vacuum truck, powered cleaning equipment, mowers, and pickups. Performs a variety of laboring type duties in and around the plants and plant grounds such as loading and unloading supplies, grounds keeping, sweeping and shoveling dirt, mud, and debris. ( Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned. Performance Expectations: Perform responsibilities as directed within determined time frames and with a high degree of accuracy. Establish and maintain effective work relationships within the department, the company and service providers. Maintain the professional competence, knowledge and skills necessary to effectively complete responsibilities; enhance job knowledge and abilities by taking personal responsibility for professional development and training. Attend work on a regular basis and support the company's employee policies and procedures, including workplace safety rules. Position Requirements: High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED), knowledge of basic repair procedures, basic plant operations, and basic mechanical skills. Must have effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to read, analyze and interpret written documents and procedures such as safety procedures, department job procedures and policy manuals. Ability to write routine reports and respond to questions from managers and employees. Must be able to use a radio system. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. A valid Class A California Driver's License is required. Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without an accommodation. | |
