Essential Duties and Responsibilities: o Sets up, programs, and operates CNC machines o Plans and performs a variety of machine operations utilizing numerically controlled machines, i.e. Mills, Lathes, Routers, and/or saws to machine plastic or metalwork pieces to specifications by performing the following duties o Interprets complicated drawings, program sheets, instructions, and process sheets to determine work to be done o Performs diversified operations on numerically controlled machines o Performs a variety of related operations to close and interrelated tolerances o Reviews the setup sheet and specifications to determine the sequence and dimensions of finished workpiece o Attaches fixtures to machine according to setup instructions o Manipulates controls to start the machine o Observes and listens to machine operation to detect malfunctions o Performs a variety of inspection and gaging operations to insure the maintenance of quality standards and specifications o Measures work piece for conformance to specifications o Notifies Supervisor of discrepancies o Adjusts machine according to the specifications o Cleans machine parts and performs machine maintenance Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
