CorTech is seeking to hire a LVN / LPN Medical Psych for our client in Saint Louis, MO! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! $48.27/Hour Shift night: 7pm - 7:30am Shifts per week 3 - Will consider 48 upon request Hours per shift 12 Inpatient BH experience strongly preferred Block scheduling requests will be considered and accommodated where possible (not guaranteed). Patient ratios: LPNs are always paired with RN that over sees the LPN. Our ratios vary slightly unit to unit, they range from 6-8 patients per nurse, occasionally less depending on that unit?s census. Most units have 2-3 nurses plus techs. Units range from 10-20 beds. DESCRIPTION Education: Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved Practical Nursing Program or compact licensure. IV Certification is not required for this LPN position. Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements: Stand and walk most of the time on duty. Meet unit specific physical demands. Significant amount of bending and stooping, as well as lifting and turning patients with assistance. May be required to work differing schedules, shifts, days of the week, or work frequency according to patient care requirements. High risk exposure to blood and body fluids. Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs., pinch up to 15 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Equipment Used: Unit specific. Certifications: Current LPN licensure with the Missouri State Board of Nursing or current LPN Missouri temporary work permit. Must have a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course prior to start. General Comments Job Summary: Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups within the scope of practical nursing preparation under the direct supervision of an RN. The LPN?s practice must be consistent with the established guidelines of practice, the goals of Client , the Philosophy of the Sisters of Client , the Missouri Nurse Practice Act, the code of Professional and Business Ethics, and the Co-Worker Code of Conduct.
