Job Description:


Client: Looking for a candidate who has some knowledge in hardening compliance (CIS, STIG) as my plan for them to take over this role. They would be working with the various teams (Windows servers and endpoints, Linux, Middleware, Networks, Applications) to review their current hardening compliance and help develop a plan to get their OS and apps hardened to a certain level.

I would like them to be able to assist the various teams to review vulnerabilities and provide alternative ways to reduce risk if the vulnerability cannot be fully patched.

An administrative type of knowledge in SEP, Qradar, and Tenable is desirable.


Primary Duties may include but are not limited to:

Oversite of vulnerability management for networking devices in a highly regulated, dynamic, enterprise level environment.
Researching of network vulneraries, device hardening strategies and the latest defensive tactics
Working with the CMMC Framework, NIST 800- 53 and 800-171, DFARS, SOX, and other regulatory compliance.
Assuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets.
Communicating with business units to complete needed remediations
Reporting using provide scanning tools
Review of Vendor, NVDB, and other sources of security threats and vectors.
Work with team, and business units to improve overall security posture
Required Qualifications:

Capable of passing requirements for a government Secret Clearance
At least 5 years network engineering experience in an enterprise environment
At least 3 years vulnerability management/patching experience
At least 3 years of device hardening experience
Data-at-rest/data-in-motion encryption experience
Experience with security scanning tools such as CIS-CAT, Qualys, or Tenable
Ability to work as a member of a highly skilled team of security professional
Communication skills at all level including within security team, other departments and up to executive level
Ability to work independently in onsite and remotely to improve overall security posture
Desired Qualifications:

CISSP, Security+ or other recognized security certifications
Cisco certification
Secret Clearance
