Location: Remote, US with a preference for the candidate to live within EST or CST time zones Hours: M-F 8-5 (normal business hours) Pay: $135k-$165k/ year Director of Accounting will deal with external auditors and manage large volumes of data. Also responsible for managing 2-3 direct reports. Required skills: *8-12 years in progressive accounting role *5 years of public accounting required *CPA Required in an active status *Heavy Excel ? handling large amounts of data (pivot tables, vlookups, sort & filter) Advanced Excel user. *Exposure to large ERP Systems: I.e. - Peoplesoft, SAP, Microsoft Great Plains ? We use MS Great Plains & PeopleSoft *Reporting Tools: Power BI, MS 360 Two weeks out of the month will be consumed with month end close, analyzing data, identifying trends to make sure balances make sense, reviewing large amounts of data to determine if anything is missing or overstated, validating transactions with communication to the different departments and segments. Fielding questions from internal partners, external auditors and internal auditor collaborations, reviewing journal entries, fill in as needed with creating journal entries, all hands on deck director. Responsible for Mackpack ? which is an excel based report at the end of the month - manual processes as needed. There is work leading into monthly close, during and clean up after close, & after period close - playing catch up. | |
