CorTech is seeking to hire a Plant Engineer for our client in Shaver Lake, CA! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! $60.00-69.71/Hour Description: Thorough knowledge and experience with regulations, guides, standards, codes, methods, practices, and advance engineering principles necessary to perform very complex or unique assignments for a specific discipline, various installations, or services. Typically possesses eight or more years engineering experience. Excellent written & verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Must be capable of applying intensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices to broad areas of assignments. This position requires an experienced and competent individual capable of successfully solving difficult problems that require adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria. Must be capable of devising new approaches to problems encountered. Skills: Hydro Plant experience is a big plus! soft skills: the team is a tight group who has been working there for generations, need to be able to gain trust and work together. the Plant Engineer will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the Generation, Hydro assets by conducting inspections, acquiring data for trend analysis, and monitoring equipment health. The engineer will help identify emergent issues and be responsible for managing small projects. This individual will act as an interface between Client Generation?s Western Operations, Project Engineering, Asset Management and Generation Strategy. The individual will be reporting to the Engineering Manager of the Plant Engineering Group, which is part of Asset Management and Generation Strategy work group of Generation Department. Required Skills/Attributes ? Must have Bachelor?s degree in Mechanical Engineering ? Five years of experience managing, supervising, or leading an organization, unit, or teams. ? Five years engineering experience ? Five years of engineering experience related to a hydro or other generation facility ? Must be able to drive, traverse on uneven surfaces (hiking), sit/stand for extended periods of time, and work in various weather conditions, for extended periods of time Desired Skills/Attributes ? MS Engineering, P. E. License preferred ? Typically possesses 8 or more years working in progressing responsible plant engineering positions ? Demonstrated experience of power generation reliability engineering ? Excellent writing and presentation skills ? Demonstrated experience in preparing/justification of capital projects ? Demonstrated experience working with Power Generation facilities ? Demonstrated experience working with Project Cost estimating ? Demonstrated experience working in Asset Management ? Demonstrated ability to work as a project team member in a project matrix environment | |
