**Pay Rate:$21** Shift is 2pm-1030pm but there could be a possibility the facility needs the worker to work 4pm-1230am. would need to be able to accommodate either of these schedules. Depending on the shift the worker is able to work could depend on the job title for this worker. The 2pm-1030pm shift will be a Discharge Cleaner, the 4pm-1230am shift will be a Housekeeper. All Candidates are expected to work every other weekend and holidays. Primary difference between a housekeeper and a discharge cleaner is a housekeeper maintains all commons areas. Discharge cleaner focuses on discharged rooms only. Please make sure the candidate for this position is comfortable with either role. GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION FOR HOUSEKEEPER OR DISCHARGE CLEANER: -Provides general cleaning and services to patient rooms, rest rooms, nurses stations, corridoes, conference rooms, utility rooms, treatment areas, kitchens, solariums, offices, lobbies, lounges, stairwells and waiting rooms. -Cleans commodes, tubs, sinks, plumbing, mirrors, window sills, furniture, equipment and any other dust gathering services. -Spot wash walls and doors including frames, Spot cleans and vacuums carpets. Mops floors Replenishes toilet tissues, paper towels, and soap. Notify appropriate staff of room/bed readiness. Cleans and makes unoccupied beds. Cleans and services patient rooms after receiving discharge notification and prepares patient unit for new admission. -May operate small motorized and battery operated equipment as part of non-routine functions. Performs other duties as directed. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR EITHER POSITION: Education: - H.S. Diploma or GED Skills: Must be able to understand directions, communicate and respond to inquiries; requires effective interpersonal skills. Years of Experience: 0 License: n/a Certification: n/a WORKING CONDITIONS FOR EITHER POSITION: -Must be able to move about hospital and between workstations. Must be able to move and/or lift material and dirty rags weighing up to 10 pounds, 70% of the time; move carts weighing up to 40 lbs., 10% of the time; and move carts weighing up to 50 lbs., 20% of the time.
