CorTech is seeking to hire a Food & Nutrition Cook for our client in Bowling Green, KY!

$17.00/Hour
Shifts are a mix of 5am to 2pm and 9am to 5:30pm, rotating weekends

The Food & Nutrition Cook will be an experienced and competent professional who is responsible for enhanced preparation, cleanliness, and organization of food and supplies in the Food & Nutrition Department. This role will provide excellent customer service to all patients and employees.

At least one year cooking experience

General Essential Functions

Demonstrates the ability to perform specific competencies as listed on the Competency Checklist. Meets mutually agreed upon performance goals/objectives established annually as listed on the Performance Management Plan.
Integrates ethics in all areas of practice. Adheres to confidentiality and patient?s rights policies.
Supports the facilities? mission and values.
Performs other duties as assigned.


Job Specific Functions

Prepares food per recipe specifications for daily use on the patient line, retail areas, doctor?s lounge, or for catered events.
Reads production sheets and forecasts production needs for the patient line, retail areas, doctor?s lounge, or for catered events.
Stocks food items on the patient line, retail areas, doctor?s lounge or for catered events.
Performs assigned cleaning by supervisors and must be skilled in equipment operations.

EDUCATION / DEVELOPMENT

Learns new procedures and protocols. Demonstrates a thorough knowledge and understanding of
policies and procedures in performing job duties. Reports to supervisor any suggestions for positive change or recommendations to department policies and procedures.

2. Completes annual mandatory In-Service requirements and Healthstream trainings. Attends department meetings (reviews and signs minutes when unable to attend).

4. Assumes responsibility for continued professional development.

Education & Experience:
? High School Degree

1 year cooking experience Preferred

Preferred Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

Licenses, Certifications, & Training:

Food Handlers or ServSafe Certificate within 90 days of hire

Required



Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

? Knowledge of PATIENT SAFETY science principles, theory, methods, standards and regulatory requirements and experience with patient safety analysis techniques (methods), including root cause analysis, cause and effect analysis, and failure mode and effect analysis.

? Knowledge of HACCP guidelines when assembling and distributing food supplies to ensure quality and safety of food supply.

? Ability to USE DATABASE SOFTWARE to enter, retrieve, sort, and filter information as necessary for reporting or report generation
