Job Description:
Under the supervision of the Manufacturing Facilitator or designee, operates and maintains clean and orderly the autoclave use to sterilize the Bactec media and keeps production records. Maintain equipment under owns responsibility in good conditions. Notifies immediately the Manufacturing Facilitator or Shift Leader of any deviation from normal operation of the equipment. Participate in evaluation and trouble shooting of the equipment as required. Follows QSR, ISO, safety and environmental regulations.

1. Performs autoclave operations in accordance with the written procedures.
2. Performs daily test cycle to verify proper operations of autoclave. Monitor several autoclaves.
3. Place loads of media into autoclave, cools and moves loads for further processing.
4. Monitoring operations of all autoclaves during the cycle (i.e. temperature and alarms).
5. Pull random sample of media from each load for Q.C. test.
6. Maintains logs and records, communicate discrepancies immediately to the Manufacturing Facilitator.
7. Active participation in continuous improvement and safety activities (i.e. Kaizens, OPA, 6S).
8. Perform other related duties as assigned.
9. Maintains the Autoclave area clean including, floors, cooling station, autoclaves and autoclave carts.

Requirements

A. Education:

High school graduate. Good mathematical skills. Able to read and write English.

B. Experience:

Twelve (12) months in manufacturing environment.

? Needs to apply some judgments and knowledge to operate autoclave process in accordance with established procedures. Communication skills to convey clearly to immediate supervisor any cycle deviation during operations.

? Some exposure to noise, heat and odor.

? Heavy demand. Involves lifting, pulling and pushing heavy loads.
