Supervisor: Elizabeth Torres Position: Logistic Technician Pay Rate: $14.50 Shift: First Job Description This is an entry level position with limited experience. Develops skills in basic tasks, techniques and procedures within one skill area/process/method. Maintains appropriate licenses/training/certifications, as needed. Applies basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks consisting of prescribed steps. Has basic skills training in an analytical/scientific method or operational process area. Works within clearly defined SOPs and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines. Works with a high degree of supervision and has minimal discretion. Ensures accurate receipt and timely distribution of materials is carried out. Ensures safe warehouse practices and proper handling, storage and delivery of time and temperature sensitive material as well as chemicals and biological material. Responsible for receiving and storing cold chain, non-sensitive and MRO inventories, distributing all inventories received at plant to internal customers, , recording returned goods, doing cycle counts and working extensively in cold rooms when pulling product. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ? Receive and distribute incoming and outgoing mail ? Execute local Hacienda clearance through SURI application as applicable ? Receive physical goods from Affiliates and/or Third party Vendors such as : ? MRO ? Inventory(Ambient, Coldchain Bulk material at 2-8°C, -20°C and -80°C) ? Manage shippers paperwork, ? Seek direction when material does not match or is damaged ? Sort, store and apply label identification to goods as needed ? Distribute paperwork to appropriate recipients throughout the plant. ? Maintain records as applicable of goods receipt ? Ensure handling, and appropriate storage at ambient , cold rooms and freezers ? Ensure timely distribution of all materials and mail received at plant. ? Execute counts required by Cycle Count process and help in determining root causes. ? Execute ERP transactions such as but not limited to: ? GR's goods receipt ? Bin to Bin movements, ? Stock requests ? Material Disposition scrap movements ? Knowledgeable in requirements related to DOT, IATA, Hazmat. Explosives ? Knowledgeable in working with Carriers that come to the site ? Required to operate a fork-lift and/or Company vehicle as directed. ? Support systems that continuously improve product/process quality and product availability, reduce cost, and increase production capability. ? Work on continuous improvement projects moderate in complexity. ? Keep abreast of the basic requirements for compliance in own area of work and comply with these. ? Participate as required in training of regulatory issues affecting own area of work. ? Bring regulatory compliance questions/issues to the attention of management as needed. ? Provide recommendations to promote a safe working environment ? Participate in Environmental Health and Safety programs. ? Address corrective actions whenever a hazard is identified. ? Notify supervisor of all observed hazardous conditions or unsafe work practices. ? May be required to provide inputs to revise Standard Operating Procedures and/or work instructions. ? EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or .College credits approved that are geared towards a degree preferably in Science, Business Administration or Material Management. Requires a minimum of one (1) year experience in Logistics, Warehousing/Inventory Control and Shipping preferably in a pharmaceutical, medical and/or biotechnology manufacturing environment, but not limited to the previous working environments mentioned. SUPERVISION N/A MENTAL DEMAND Apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagrammatic form. Manage stressful situations. PHYSICAL DEMAND The work requires constant carrying and lifting of heavy weight level objects. In addition, constantly requires pushing and pulling of medium weight level objects; as well as standing, walking, handling, talking, hearing and seeing (near vision, depth perception and visual color discrimination). Frequently, the job requires sitting, stooping, reaching and seeing far vision. Occasionally, the work requires climbing, kneeling, crawling and fingering. WORKING ENVIRONMENT The work is constantly performed inside the building. The work requires exposure to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme cold temperatures.
