Square's Content & Web team is an organic growth engine and a center of excellence for digital experiences and content strategy at Square. We are looking for a Content Manager to play a role in upleveling our content across surfaces by helping us scale our contributor programs globally. Content is created across the Square organization. In this role, you'll manage content coming in from across teams to be published on surfaces managed by the Content & Web team (Town Square, The Company Blog, Glossary, etc.). You'll work with contributing teams and the CW team to determine where the content should live and either prepare it for publishing (edit, stage, etc.) or work with the appropriate stakeholder on the team to do so. This may include the hands-on management and production of blog articles, seller stories, white papers, e-books, infographics, etc. in addition to media content such as audio, interactive digital, video, etc. You will also support management of our various editorial calendars and report on performance of content for contributors on request. This is a highly cross-functional role that will collaborate with the entire Content & Web team (Content Strategy, Content, Organic Discovery, Social Media, Web) as well as our Communications, Product Marketing, Creative, Experiential, and Integrated Marketing teams. Project and stakeholder management is key to success in this role. You will: Manage content coming in from teams across the organization — determining which surfaces the content should live on and ensuring it has the correct path to publish Prepare content for publishing; this may include editing, running content through reviews, localization, and staging content Inform and systems or processes that will scale our contributor programs, first internally and then externally, and work with Ops to implement them. Work with our Content team — and other teams across Content & Web — to build and maintain editorial calendars across our surfaces. Manage stakeholder relationships across the organization and, as we scale, do the same with external partners. Generate content performance reports and insights, utilizing Google Analytics and internal tools to track trends and key results, as needed. Skills: You have: Demonstrated writing and editing skills across a variety of content types and formats Experience with content and editorial production A basic understanding of content distribution/marketing channel best practices (social media, email, paid ads, SEO, etc.) A thorough and methodical approach to project management and cross-functional communication A willingness to learn and an energetic attitude Even better: Experience working at a tech, SaaS, or B2B company in a content management or content marketing role Experience writing for a blog or brand publication Experience in other types of marketing, such as demand generation, web marketing, lead generation, B2B marketing, enterprise marketing, growth marketing, etc. Experience using Wordpress and/or other CMS Keywords: Education: 3-5 years of post-university work experience and a BA/BS in a related field such as journalism, marketing, or communications or experience as a journalist, marketer, copy editor, or copywriter | |
