Hiring Cable Techs with experience in enterprise network installations! o Pay: $25 - $30 o Location: Client Sites in Miami & FT. Lauderdale, Florida o US Citizen or Green Card Holder CorTech is seeking to hire a Cable Technicians III (Site Lead) for our client in Miami & FT. Lauderdale, Florida. _________________________________________________________________________________ Position Summary: You will participate with a team in the process of racking electronic equipment in cabinets. Responsible for (but not limited to) the installation, cabling, and troubleshooting of multiple Headend/Hub network devices. Able to organize, terminate, test, and label coaxial and Ethernet cabling as needed. Must be able to read and create Hub Design and rack elevations and conduct others to execute the designs. Will assist in migrations from old devices to new devices during nighttime maintenance windows. Will perform pre-launch testing of equipment as needed. Must possess the ability to self-manage. Must be able to mentor and direct others. Must be able to understand and execute Statements of Work, perform quality assurance audits, and communicate work performance and status. Will work closely with the Market Lead, Deployment Manager, and Project Manager. _________________________________________________________________________________ REQUIRED SKILLS & EDUCATION: o High School diploma or equivalent o 4 or more years of related work experience o Valid Drivers License o Good driving record o Good computer skills o Good communications skills o Troubleshooting/problem-solving skills o Valid Driver?s License o Able to lift 50 lbs. o Good driving record o Must provide own required tools o Organized, self-motivated, ability to problem solve o Attention to details o Ability to manage and mentor others o Good knowledge of Headends and Hubs o Able to travel extensively _________________________________________________________________________________ ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: o Rack headend equipment o Install associated coaxial and Ethernet cables o Connectorize coaxial and Ethernet cables o Test coaxial and Ethernet cables o Clean, test and install fiber jumpers o Label coaxial, Ethernet cables, and fiber jumpers o Read and understand hub design and rack elevations o Self-manage time o Managing hub crews o Mentor and direct others _________________________________________________________________________________ ADDITIONAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: o Coax, Ethernet, and Fiber handling experience o Good computer skills o Good communications skills o Troubleshooting/problem-solving skills o Understanding of Hub design and rack elevations o Clean Background and DMV record o Experience working with engineers, project managers o Experience managing personnel | |
