CorTech is seeking to hire a Working Student for our client in Houston, TX! To be considered for this position, candidates must be pursuing a BS/MS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university. Benefits Available! $28.00/Hour Shift: 1st Description: A Snapshot of Your Day Client Energy Process & Safety Consulting business has an exciting opportunity for motivated engineers to join our team. The individual in this role will focus on consulting services for our process design and pressure relief design groups. Through our optimized process design we help customers improve process safety, develop solutions to support decarbonization and enable operations excellence. How You?ll Make an Impact ? Research new processes and technologies to support renewable and new energy markets ? Identifying and quantifying overpressure scenarios, relief rate requirements and evaluating relief systems capacities. ? Understand plant processes in Oil & Gas production, Refining, Petrochemical and Chemical industries, and perform basic design calculations for various equipment and unit operations. ? Develop steady state heat and material balances for design concepts and process modification using process simulation tools. ? Interpret data from piping & instrumentation diagrams, process flow diagrams, plot plans, piping isometrics, mechanical design information, typical unit operation specifications and electrical one-line diagrams. ? Research new processes and technologies to support renewable and new energy markets. ? Asset Integrity Management basics and understanding mechanical integrity code requirements. What You Bring ? Proficient in MS Excel ? Pursuing BS/MS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university ? Must be legally authorized to work in the US. | |
