CorTech is seeking to hire a Material / Chemical engineer for our client in Huntsville, AL! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! $27.56/hr 1st shift Overview: Trainee level position. Specialized in Materials and/or Chemical Engineering and under Direct supervision, performs a variety of routine tasks that are planned to provide experience and familiarization with the engineering staff, methods, practices, and programs of the company. This position is accountable for the research and development related activities for Aerospace Transparencies/products throughout the world. Participating continuous improvement for the department?s environmental, health and safety, quality and value performance to insure an injury free workplace. Some of the job activities per day-to-day operation will include: ? Preparation, characterization and analysis of raw material and/or process materials coming in and out of the plant ? Operation multiple lab tools (i.e. ICP-MS, TGA/FTIR, GC-MS, DSC,EDXRF, United testing machines, and basic laboratory instrumentation ) ? Develop and execute detailed test plans, and developed reports for multiple R&D programs and customers ? Support teams across the Client Aerospace science and technology group in the selection of materials and processes ? Participate on root cause investigations and process improvement through recommending and developing the right test method, analysis of the results and design of experiments ? Maintain program documentation and specifications regarding to 5S and safety criteria of lab ? Establish and maintain positive and effective personal and organizational relationships with Design, Sales, Program Administration/Management, Product Support, Manufacturing and Glass Technology Center personnel REQUIREMENTS: ? Bachelor?s or higher degree in Material and Engineering Science or closely related field ? 2-5 years relevant experience in composite, glass and coatings operations to include the manufacturing, testing and research development ? Theoretical knowledge and practical laboratory experience in materials characterization and testing (i.e. ICP-MS, TGA, FTIR, GC-MS, mechanical testing) ? Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical information ? High attention to detail and ability to work meticulously to observe and adjust processes and experiments as they progress. | |
