Position: Certified Risk Adjustment Coder ***You must have a certification as Certified Risk Coder (CRC)*** Work Authorization: US Citizen/ Green Card Pay: $31- $35/hr (Pay is based on experience) Location: Largo, FL (Onsite) ___________________________________________________________ Job Summary: CorTech International is seeking a talented Risk Adjustment Coder/Medical Coder for our healthcare client in Largo, Fl. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting Electronic Medical Record (EMR) chart audits for prospective Medicare Risk Adjustment (MRA) ICD-10 codes/ Hierarchical Condition Category (HCC) coding in advance of patient visits, preparing coding reviews for physicians, and completing health risk assessments for insurance companies. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, hold a Certified Risk Coder (CRC) certification, and possess knowledge of MRA coding. This is a Monday through Friday position with a competitive salary and an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients. ___________________________________________________________ Job Duties: ??? Conduct chart review in advance of patient visits for risk adjusting codes/HCCs and create an electronic accurate and professional coding review for the provider's review. ??? Review upcoming appointment spreadsheet to identify patients in need of coding review, update and maintain spreadsheet as needed. ??? Use professional and accurate documentation for each MRA code, with supporting information provided. ??? Complete Health Risk Assessments or Attestations after visits for insurance companies to obtain additional revenue for the clinic. ??? Assist the department with requested tasks to satisfy deadlines. ??? Maintain quality and productivity standards for coding review, code selection, and quantity of charts per day. ??? Enter and maintain member records in the electronic health record system, compile reports, and complete other program documentation in a timely manner (e.g., progress notes, letters), and other administrative responsibilities as needed. ___________________________________________________________ Required Skills: ??? High school diploma or GED ??? Certified Risk Coder (CRC) ??? Knowledge of MRA coding ___________________________________________________________ Additional Skills: ??? Proficient in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems ??? Knowledge of ICD-10 codes and Hierarchical Condition Category (HCC) coding ??? Familiarity with Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) coding guidelines ???
