We are currently hiring for Machine Operator's in Dundee, MI. $17.50/hour Days and Nights available Days: 7am to 7pm Nights 7pm to 7am Days may vary Machine Operators are responsible for and have the authority for setting up and operating HDPE, PET or Extrusion production lines, making necessary adjustments or minor mechanical repairs in a safe and efficient manner per qualification certification level. Requirements - HS Diploma or GED - Exposure to mechanical industry preferred - Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills - Able to multitask in fast paced environment - Team Oriented - Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment - Self-motivated and flexible on job assignments Essential Functions and Responsibilities - Adhere to all safety procedures and practice good housekeeping. - Perform job duties in accordance to all written work instructions and procedures. - Operate and maintain equipment and forklifts used to manufacture product at acceptable quality and throughput levels per control plan. - Perform quality checks related to line operation. - As needed utilize manufacturing data systems to perform basic shop floor functions. - Respond to process control alarms, bringing processes back into control. - Disposition non-conforming product according to established criteria. - Coordinates the training sessions for all new hires in the department. - Identifies opportunities for departmental improvement. - Assists in change overs, productivity and scrap. - Assists in training and mentoring as assigned. - Participate in Plant meetings. - Other duties as assigned.
