CorTech is seeking to hire a Paralegal I for our client in Atlanta, GA!

Pay rate: 30.34

Duties:
Utilizes extensive knowledge in a variety of areas to provide an advanced level of administrative support to one or more individuals within a specified department or departments. Support may include: generation of reports, filing, management of the administrative aspects of a department process or processes, coordination of conference calls and meetings (local, US and international), travel arrangements, records retention and file management, Input and tracking of purchase orders, tracking of department budgets, processing of check requests and invoices through the internal system, ordering and managing of departmental supplies, expense report reconciliation, training class support, and general staff support.
Plans, coordinates, and/or manages information necessary to support legal and business needs, including, inter alia, document management, redline drafting and monitoring, coordinating negotiation meetings, resolving business and IP issues.
Prepares drafts and files legal documents, including agreements, CDAs, SoWs, Amendments, etc., with commercial, government and/or administrative agencies under attorney signature. Requires understanding of law, regulations, policies and business in at least one area such as Transactions, Compliance, Patents, Litigation and Regulatory. Requires continued education and learning regarding law and rule changes and how these changes affect businesses.
Maintains electronic databases and physical files according to established procedure and record retention policies, follows departmental guidelines and SOPs, and works efficiently in internal and external systems and databases.
Communicates effectively with internal and external clients and partners with them to obtain or provide information needed for organizational and legal purposes, and/or to identify issues and resolve these issues to meet business needs.
Works collaboratively on teams to establish procedure and process based on experience. Applies knowledge and skills to a range of inter- and intradepartmental activities, including presentations, and serves as a resource to others.
Performs company business in compliance with company standards, regulations, policies and procedures. Demonstrates professionalism with all business contacts and fellow employees and assists in other areas when needed, e.g., track budgets, secure registration and payments, prepare and plan presentations related to the department.
Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of Boehringer?s mission, business processes, policies and practices, and applies knowledge within own technical area to develop relatively advanced work results.
Skills:
At least 8 years relevant experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified in this job profile, including administrative, customer service and/or relevant business experience.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information.
Working knowledge of legal research principles, methods, techniques, and resources.
Applies an advanced level of knowledge / skills to a wide range of interdepartmental responsibilities and serves as a resource to others. Contacts are frequent with individuals outside the company and / or members of senior management within BI. Uses appropriate interpersonal styles to work collaboratively with colleagues and team members to achieve departmental objectives. Helps to overcome barriers, provides on-going feedback to the work team, and facilitates adjustments as directed by management.
Monitors progress against expectations and addresses performance gaps in a timely manner. Fulfills work team responsibilities and demonstrates a personal commitment to accomplishing departmental objectives. Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement within specified department. Demonstrated ability to take ownership.
Satisfactory performance record.
Demonstrated expert knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), including MS Project required.
Displays AAI behaviors (Agility, Accountability, Intrapreneurship).

Education:
Business School certification or Associates degree or equivalent work experience. Undergraduate degree and/or paralegal certification at an accredited institution preferred.
