CorTech is seeking to hire a Dining Services Associate for our client in Westbrook, Maine!

What you can expect in this role:
? You will be responsible for washing and putting away dishes, small ware, pots and pans.
? You will maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards as established by supervisor.
? You will assist chefs with ordering and receiving of food and beverage products.
? You will perform basic culinary tasks- like chopping or pealing to help chefs prepare daily meal.
? You will exhibit strong customer service skills, maintaining positive and professional working relations with customers, team members and members of other functional areas.
? You will maintain a safe working environment and utilize all applicable safety equipment.
? You will assist in inventory process and cost reduction efforts.
? You will be crossed train to work in other areas within the department.
? You will remain flexible and perform other duties as assigned.
What you will need to succeed:
? You have a high School degree or equivalent experience.
? You have a ServeSafe certification or would be willing to take the ServeSafe
?
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
? Knowledge of building services or trade-specific skills/knowledge.
? Strong communication/customer service skills both verbal and written.
? Strong contract and vendor management skills.
? Ability to manage and delegate without direct reporting relationships.
? Ability to prioritize, organize and multi-task.
? Effective team building and gaining commitment skills.
? Ability to assess and define problems with a variety of variables, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
? Ability to read and interpret documents and instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
? Demonstrated proficiency with mathematical concepts.
? Ability to write reports and correspondence.
Physical Demands
? Full use of hands including fingers to handle, feel, and use objects, tools and/or controls.
? Required to stand and walk on average of 5-10 miles per day.
? Moderate to heavy lifting in excess of 50 pounds as well as the ability to frequently move over 100 pounds on a cart, barrel, bin, or dolly.
? Specific vision requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
? Ability to work overtime hours as required.
? Weekend hours may be required
Work Environment
? Office and kitchen environments
? Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts, works in outside weather conditions, and also occasionally uses a ladder.
? Moderate noise level
? The employee is required to wear personal protective equipment including protective clothing, hearing protection, and safety glasses.
LEVELING GUIDE:
? Food experience is a plus, but not required.
? Duties are clearly defined and methods and tasks are described in detail. Work typically involves prescribed processes with ability to recognize deviations.
? Work is completed with close supervision and little autonomy. Has limited discretion to vary from established procedures.
