The General Maintenance Technician will perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooking, and other building systems. Text Keyword "Maintenance Technician" to 602-308-6614 with your name for more information. Job Duties and Expectations: Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair. Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs. Reassembles equipment and test for conformance to specifications Disassembles malfunctioning equipment, examines and tests mechanisms on large and small pieces of machinery Test equipment and adjusts calibration to ensure equipment is functioning is within specified standards Searches for and executes against continuous improvement opportunities, executes work in a quality fashion Plans repair work using buildings blueprints or equipment manual as needed. Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures. Performs routine maintenance on building systems. Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities. Trains and assess new team members in the maintenance department. Assist with identifying gaps in training and developing plans to address the gaps. Document and maintain team member training records. Monitor and correct/retrain team members exhibiting behaviors that are contrary to training; schedule time for additional help as needed. Evaluate and document daily/weekly progress reports for trainees and review with the trainees and their supervisor until qualification is achieved. Adheres to and enforces safety regulations. Performs other related duties as assigned. Job Requirements: High School diploma/ GED required, 3+ years of general maintenance and/or equivalent experience Must have a valid driver?s license and safe driving record. Required to have a valid driver?s license within 30 days of hire Required to conduct work at extreme heights, at times Reliable mode of transportation Excellent verbal communication skills Extended hours during peak season (Oct-Dec).
