CorTech is seeking to hire a Quality Control Core Worker for our client in The Woodlands, TX!

Pay rate: 19.88

Potential to convert based on business needs
Instrumentation based driven role/ Manufacturing redundant role
Prefers someone with QC tech lab experience
Physical is required for this role
Associate's degree at minimum required

Your role:
This position will be based in The Woodlands, Texas.
Responsible for the operation of all QC equipment and QC review and release of all DNA, RNA and Peptide products. Ensure that all QC samples submitted for analysis are processed and released per written instructions and specifications to meet product
conformance. Coordinate and track product daily to ensure delivery requirements. Provide technical resolutions as needed. Maintaining a safe work environment and ensure area is maintained in a state of audit readiness per 6S+E program and all quality guidelines.

Key Tasks
- Organize, track materials/QC samples received for various QC analysis.
- Operational running of all QC equipment proficiently.
- Responsible for Pass/Fail of product per established specifications.
- Monitor and maintain QC product standard level. Ensure product quality objectives are achieved.
- Inform QC Manager or Lead and Production Management of all relevant production quality issues and failure trends that affect delivery.
- Review, follow, and update work instructions and processes as needed.
- Track priority runs and ensure that all special QC testing is performed.
- Attend all QC meetings as scheduled.
- Track and analyze failed or problem product. Ensure conformance of QC testing.

- Assist in technical troubleshooting of production issues and problems.
- Ensure proper validation/calibration of maintenance of equipment for continuous use.
? Communicate/document potential safety hazards and work to minimize or eliminate hazards.
? Assist in training of new and existing QC team members and ensure all quality procedures, programs and goals are supported.
? Work closely with the QC Lead and Manager to address all safety and quality items with internal systems and controls.
? Assist in the QC testing and release of required raw materials.
? Ensure all order Certifications of Analysis and Test Order Requirements are complete and accurate.
? Assist in QC inventory & non-inventory re-order for QC operation to ensure adequate materials are available at all times and order required materials as needed.

Who you are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Life Science or related discipline or
- General understanding of oligonucleotide synthesis chemistry and analytical techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
- B.S./B.A. in the Life Sciences or related disciplines or higher
- 2+ years of experience with manufacturing or Quality Control environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated decision making skills
- Knowledge of common instruments in an analytical laboratory environment.
- Strong computer skills including demonstrated proficiency in MS Work, Excel,
and MS Access
- Ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to manage and multiple tasks priorities
- Understanding of DNA/Peptide synthesis process and equipment
- Detailed Oriented

Environmental and Physical Requirements
Environmental conditions: Production and QC Laboratory
? Exposure to variety of hazardous chemicals and potential pathogens.
? Required to wear all personal protective equipment as described by MilliporeSigma.
? This may require respirators, gloves, lab coat, face shields, and other PPE.
? Will be required to work with chemicals and general processing equipment such as flammable solvents, carcinogens, and corrosives.
